Where Things Stand

Current program performance highlights

The Delaware SLCGP is actively helping municipalities strengthen cybersecurity, reduce exposure, and improve resilience across the state — through municipal outreach, cybersecurity assessments, web application protection, endpoint detection and response, and coordination with state-funded and SLCGP-funded resources.

  1. Municipalities engaged through outreach, discussions, assessments, and cybersecurity support activities
  1. Cybersecurity assessments completed to help establish clearer risk baselines
  1. Web Application Firewall (WAF) protections deployed for public-facing websites and applications
  1. Municipal web applications, payment portals, and citizen-facing services protected
  1. Endpoint Protection (EPP) deployments completed to improve visibility and threat detection
  1. State-funded resources used to reduce the financial burden on eligible municipalities
  1. SLCGP-funded resources aligned to local cybersecurity risk reduction needs
  1. Continued coordination between DEMA, DTI, municipalities, and program partners
  1. Ongoing alignment of municipal cybersecurity needs with available tools, staff support, and program resources

We recognize that some stakeholders may feel the program should be further along. That concern is understandable.

SLCGP is a federal cybersecurity grant program with required planning, governance, assessment, eligibility, and review steps. Those steps help ensure that cybersecurity resources are aligned with real risk, approved program requirements, and Delaware’s statewide cybersecurity priorities.

The program continues to mature from planning and coordination into direct municipal support, with an emphasis on responsible execution, practical outcomes, and reducing cyber risk before it becomes an incident.
